Although still known as the barn owl, this owl is a far cry from its modern predecessor. Its new immense size dramatically reduced its ability as a flyer, but it is no less lethal as a predatory bird. It can fly at low altitudes for brief periods of time, but has mostly taken to lumbering along the ground or swooping along sturdy branches.
Not much else is known about the barn owl mainly due to its incredible rarity. To see one is so rare that encountering the bird has sprouted its own legends. To meet the bird's glance while it faces forward is considered lucky, and one should expect a stroke of good fortune. But a bad omen to those that meet the bird from behind and have its head rotate around to lock eyes.
-I know the owl is similar to Won Shi Tong. If that's the way the owl is seen I'm cool with that. In that case these barn owls can be his children. c: But owls with long, swanlike necks is an idea for a creature that I've had in my mind since far before A:TLA.
wow this so amazing i love the basic idea of this bird and the drawing is well executed i like that you put up a size comparison thing in the corner there it gives it a scientific feel i always put a crapy one in the corner of my drawings of strange creatures .. though i have non of them up on DA XD i love the colors and the feathers are beautiful
Good work
